Overview

Flowers for the Living offers a picture of a small part of the life of one person, Dr. Van M. Arnold, who has now passed his ninetieth birthday, but who continues to minister the life and truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  Click on the “web book,” Flowers for the Living to discover selected sermons from Van, and reflections from his family on the impact of his life on all those around him. 

            You can click on Sermons to drink from the well of Holy Spirit inspired wisdom and find applications of scripture to your own life.  Van has been known for his Prayers, which he developed through devoted study of pastors and teachers within the church who sought to know how Jesus prayed.  While drawing from these prayers and acknowledging his debt to others, he has shown all who inquire one way to follow the Lord in prayer.  As you can imagine, he has also touched hundreds of people through the years, and a few of them have taken the time to send their Kind Words and “flowers” to Van and to the rest of us who can be inspired by the effect of his life on others.  Finally, you can find a pictorial story of Van in the Photo Gallery.   And though some of these sections may not be fully completed yet, they will soon come online and the site will be regularly updated.
