Van's Prayers

As we seek to become more of who we are capable of being, we struggle with being more of “ourselves” as opposed to being more like Jesus.   Holiness is never fully attained, but as we commit ourselves daily to the Lord, seek after him, and allow ourselves to submit our will to his own, we find ourselves becoming more like him.  Van spent hours and hours in preparation for the thousands of prayers that he has prayed.  His personal devotion, his reading and study, his sensitivity to the lives of all around him—all this and more has contributed to the depth from which he has drawn his prayers. To this day he continues in his ministry of prayer for his family, the church, the nation, and all those in need. In this section, you will taste but a few of his prayers.  Be encouraged to allow them to inspire your own communion with God, your own deepening of the life he offers, and your own transformation into his likeness.
